Wayne Rooney has made a surprising admission about Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
Rooney is one of the best players to to ever play in the Premier League, but it's fair to say that his managerial career - so far - hasn't been quite as successful.
The former Manchester United striker did a decent job at Derby County, but he lasted 15 months at MLS side DC United and was sacked by Birmingham City last month after winning just two of his 15 games in charge.

Rooney is currently out of work, but he has by no means given up on his aim of managing at the highest level.
Now, the 38-year-old has admitted that he would love to work with Pep Guardiola, manager of United's neighbours Man City.
In a recent episode of Stick to Football podcast, produced by SkyBet, Rooney shared what he would do for a chance to work with the legendary coach.

"If Pep Guardiola comes in and asks me to be his assistant, you’d walk there," Rooney said.
"You see what [Mikel] Arteta is doing now [at Arsenal] and I strongly believe a lot of that is from learning what Guardiola was doing, and so it depends on what the situation is.
"For me, the best manager is Pep and you look at how he adapts – how City are playing now is not the same as four years ago.
"He keeps making subtle changes and then you see everyone else trying to do the same."

Guardiola's side returned to winning ways on Tuesday with a 1-0 win against Brentford, three days after they drew 1-1 with Chelsea.
City are battling for the Premier League title with Liverpool and Arsenal, with the three-way race set to go down to the wire.
