Manchester United's Champions League clash with Galatasaray is in serious danger of being postponed due to heavy rain in Istanbul.

Erik ten Hag's side have a huge Group A contest at Rams Park in their bid to reach the round of 16.

But it may not be go ahead because of storms in the Turkish city. Heavy rain is expected to fall until tomorrow and the UEFA Youth League game between both clubs was played on an extremely waterlogged pitch this lunchtime.

A commentator for MUTV even described the pitch as "unplayable", but United were able to claima. 1-0 win at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium.

A video posted online by Fanatik shows UEFA officials dropping a ball on the turf as part of a pitch inspection.

The ball was not bouncing or travelling in the slightest as a result of the water on the grass.

As it stands there is no word from UEFA on whether the game is off but the conditions are not slated to improve anytime soon.

It's possible that the fixture is fulfilled on Thursday in the event that it has to be called off.
