Erik ten Hag makes his feelings clear on Sir Jim Ratcliffe replacing him with Graham Potter

Erik ten Hag is under increasing pressure at Manchester United

Erik ten Hag has reportedly made his feelings clear on his Manchester United future amid rumours he could be sacked.

It has been another poor start to the campaign for Ten Hag’s men as they currently sit sixth in the Premier League.

This week, they were dumped out of Europe after losing 1-0 against Bayern Munich and finishing bottom in their Champions League group.

Over the last few days, there have been rumours that Ten Hag could be replaced by former Chelsea and Brighton boss Graham Potter.

Incoming investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe is said to be a fan of Potter and is reportedly keen for him to take over at Old Trafford if the club decide to part ways with Ten Hag.

However, according to The Sun, Ten Hag is confident that he will be given the necessary time to outline his vision for United to the new investor.

It has been claimed that the Dutchman is expected to tell the INEOS boss about his plans to rebuild the squad during the summer transfer window, with a huge clearout likely to take place.

The report also states that Ten Hag’s first encounter with the incoming INEOS team will be with Dave Brailsford, who is the Director of Sport.

A meeting with Ratcliffe himself will be scheduled further down the line if he is able to keep as job as United manager.

Reflecting on his side’s Champions League campaign, Ten Hag said: “I think it's not only about talking about that campaign, then you come to the same things," he said when asked what he'd do differently.

“So, why did this happen? I would say it's a symbol today, we have to make subs, and we're losing players, and we're losing also players who are very decisive for our game who can make the difference.”
