Erik ten Hag gave an update on Jadon Sancho's exile after Man Utd eased past Crystal Palace

He provided an update on the situation.

Erik ten Hag provided an update on Jadon Sancho's Manchester United absence after the club's Carabao Cup victory over Crystal Palace.

Sancho is training away from the United first team after claiming he had been made a scapegoat by the club, following his omission from the squad that lost 3-1 to Arsenal on September 3.

Ten Hag said at the time the England international had been excluded because his training performances were below the required standard, an accusation the 23-year-old winger vehemently refuted on social media.

Since, the 23-year-old has been undergoing a personal training program away from the first team squad, with his United future dependent on him apologising to Ten Hag.

As per a Mirror report, Sancho has been exiled from all first-team facilities at United - including the team dining room - while some of his teammates have urged him to say sorry and put an end to the feud.

After United's 3-0 win over Palace in the Carabao Cup Ten Hag provided a blunt update on the situation.

When asked if anything had been resolved with Sancho, the Dutchman told Sky Sports: “That is up to him, I don’t speak about unavailable players.”

As per Sky Sports the Professional Footballers' Association has offered its support to Sancho, who feels unfairly treated, while senior players at the club have also tried to remedy the situation.

Sancho's absence from the first-team picture at United raises concerns about depth in the right-wing position, with Antony having delayed his return to the club amid allegations of assault.

The Brazilian denies the claims but has been placed on a leave of absence on full pay and is not suspended.
