Graeme Souness says he is 'worried' about one Man Utd star and blasts two team-mates

United edged past Coventry on penalties at Wembley to reach the FA Cup final.

Liverpool icon Graeme Souness has explained why he is 'worried' about one Manchester United star following their FA Cup semi-final win over Coventry.

United went 3-0 up inside an hour against the Championship side, but lost control of the match and capitulated late on in normal time by conceding three late goals.

The match therefore went to extra time, with Coventry then victim to a tight offside call on VAR - a fan has since claimed they have 'proof' that the goal was onside.

Either way, it went to penalties, with United emerging victorious after Rasmus Hojlund's winning spot kick.

Erik ten Hag's side kept their celebrations largely muted after the nature of the victory - except for winger Antony, who cupped his ears towards the Coventry players after Hojlund's penalty.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Souness laid into two United stars after the match at Wembley - but expressed his concern for forward Alejandro Garnacho.

The Argentinian liked tweets criticising Ten Hag after he was taken off at half-time during United's 2-2 draw at Bournemouth earlier this month. The Manchester Evening News have since reported that the matter has been dealt with internally, with Garnacho apologising to his manager.

Souness explained: "Garnacho, for me, is an exceptionally talented young man. But I worry for it.

"It's just an observation - call me old fashioned, call me a dinosaur - but he's got two ear-rings in the warm-up on the pitch.

"He's a young boy just learning the game. Coming back to the point that Joe Cole would have made about good senior pros, pointing out to younger guys how you live your life, how you act, how your train, your attitude to life.

"And I just worry - it's an age-old thing, it's not a new thing at Manchester United - they have always been the most glamorous club in this country, and just like Bayern Munich in Germany are called FC Hollywood, I think you can use the same term to talk about Manchester United."

He continued: "They get too much too soon at Manchester United ... they get so much attention, Manchester United players, and I think it's to their detriment.

"Especially the modern game, when the kind of rewards these boys get, they get far too much far too soon.

"I think Marcus Rashford is a case in point. He's 26, should just be now approaching his best years, but it looks like his best years have gone."

Souness also blasted Antony for his celebration: "For a player to act like that, it's naff. You just don't do that as a Man United player.

"It wasn't Real Madrid you've just knocked out. It was Coventry, a team from the Championship. It's not the first time I've seen it from him, doing daft stuff."
