Manchester United will receive a monetary punishment every time they fail to qualify for the Champions League under the terms of their new Adidas deal.
Man United's original 10-year contract, which is worth a staggering £750 million, expires next year.
But the club have a new Adidas kit deal which starts in 2025.

According to The Times, the clause will come into effect when the new deal begins.
Under the new terms, Man United will be hit with a massive £10 million penalty each time they fail to secure a spot in the Champions League.
Man United, who are currently occupy sixth place in the Premier League table, will not be penalised if they miss out on Champions League qualification because they were involved in the competition this season.

They are eight points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa.
However, fifth place could be a Champions League spot depending on coefficient rankings.
As it stands, Erik ten Hag's team are six points behind fifth-placed Tottenham.
Man United struck new terms with Adidas last year, agreeing a 10-year contract worth a staggering £900 million - the biggest kit deal in Premier League history.
