A pundit has explained what would happen if Phil Parkinson fails to get Wrexham promoted.
Earlier this week, Wrexham drew against 23rd-placed Forest Green and in turn, missed out on a chance to climb into the automatic promotion places.
The Red Dragons have endured a difficult start to 2024, having seen their promotion push compromised by a run of four wins in ten league games.

Wrexham were among the heavy favourites for promotion to League One, having come up from the National League last season.
And while former England international Carlton Palmer still believes Wrexham will get promoted automatically, he inferred that manager Phil Parkinson’s job may be on the line should they spend another season in the fourth tier.
Palmer told Football League World: “Wrexham, in their last three games, a draw, a defeat, and a draw. With only two wins in their last six games, they are stuttering. They have just fallen out of the automatic places, but they are still only a point behind Crewe Alexandra and three points behind Stockport County.

“Yes, I think Phil Parkinson, his job is to get them promoted. He has been given the tools to do the job. That is one thing when you are the manager.
"There is one thing about achieving success, but there is another thing being able to do it because you have got the tools to do the job.
"He has been given the tools to do the job, and I fully expect Wrexham to be automatically promoted.

"Yes, you can have disappointing spells during the season where you drop a few points, but Crewe Alexandra, they are going great, three wins and two draws in their last six games.
"Stockport have had a little bit of a stutter as well, with two defeats and two draws in their last six games.
“But I fully expect Wrexham to be in the automatic promotion places at the end of the season but if they are not, I am sure there will be some questions asked about Parkinson, and he could well be looking for a new job.”
