Manchester United currently have more players than second-placed Liverpool in the current Premier League Team of the Year.
Erik ten Hag's side are currently in sixth place and nine points off the top four places following an inconsistent league campaign to date.
United beat Liverpool 4-3 at Old Trafford to reach the FA Cup semi-finals, but failure to win that competition and missing out on the Champions League for next season would crown a disappointing campaign for the club.

There have been plus points in recent weeks, though, with Kobbie Mainoo breaking through to the senior squad and becoming a key player, while Rasmus Hojlund has found his goalscoring touch.
The performances of Diogo Dalot and Andre Onana have also been strong, while the return of Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been a major boost given that both left-back options Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are unavailable through injury.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have lost just one league game in 2024 - a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal in February - and currently sit level on points with the Gunners at the top of the table.

Surprisingly, though, the WhoScored Premier League team of the year for 2024 only contains one Liverpool player.
Conor Bradley is the Reds' sole representative, with an average rating of 7.58 across the calendar year.
United, meanwhile, have two players in the team, with Onana's 7.11 average rating making him the top performing goalkeeper statistically across the entire division.
And Hojlund (7.97) takes his place as the lone striker after scoring six goals in 2024.

Manchester City also have two players, with Rodri (7.77) and Phil Foden (7.64) making it in, while Gabriel Magalhaes (7.44), Declan Rice (7.94), Martin Odegaard (7.76) and Bukayo Saka (8.13) make it an Arsenal quartet. Saka is the highest-rated player in the Premier League over 2024.
Meanwhile, Everton's James Tarkowski (7.23) and Fulham's Antonee Robinson (7.12) are the other players named in the XI.
