One lucky punter ended up walking away with £110k off a single £2.50 wager, after one of the biggest football bet wins in recent times.
Choosing to place a bet on the Carabao Cup action on Wednesday evening, a remarkable series of events saw Dean Woodward take home an astounding prize.

Woodward decided to back Leander Dendoncker to have two or more headed shots on target for Wolves against Spurs at odds of 250/1.
He would double this up with a bet involving Hakim Ziyech, in which Dean wagered that the Moroccan would have one or more right-footed shots on target and one or more left-footed shots on target in Chelsea's clash against Aston Villa.
The combined stake gave the punter odds of 44,000/1 - an impossibly long-shot.
Unbelievably, events unfolded exactly as Dean predicted over the next few hours.

It's one of the most remarkable wins you're likely to see, especially given how unpredictable Carabao Cup ties normally are.
Dendoncker did indeed have two headers on target during Wolves' 2-2 draw with Spurs before they lost on penalties - with the defender even netting one of those headers.
At Stamford Bridge, meanwhile, Ziyech had three shots on target with at least two coming from either foot during Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa. By the time Chelsea won on penalties, Dean's bet was already won.
The man himself, far from content with his £110k winnings, wishes he would have placed an even bigger stake.
Some replies to his original tweet were from people sceptical over the authenticity of the win, claiming that Woodward had faked it.

However, there's currently no reason to question the legitimacy of his win, so until proven otherwise, the bet can be regarded as a stroke of genius - or luck - depending upon your perspective.
