Manchester City's problems with Financial Fair Play could cost them one of their four Premier League titles, which would be good news for the likes of Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling.
Right now City's punishment equals two years out of the Champions League and Europa League as well as a £25 million from UEFA but the Premier League could also have their own punishment for the current champions.
Reports on Sunday suggested there could be a retrospective points deduction for their 2013/14 title winning season which would mean Liverpool being promoted to champions.

Should that happen then Steven Gerrard would finally be able to call himself a Premier League winner and the former Reds' captain isn't the only one:
Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet
Defenders: Martin Skrtel, Glen Johnson, Jon Flanagan, Daniel Agger, Mamadou Sakho, Kolo Toure, Aly Cissokho, Jose Enrique.
Midfielders: Jordan Henderson, Steven Gerrard, Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling, Lucas, Joe Allen, Victor Moses.

Forwards: Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge, Iago Aspas.
That team looked certain to win the league in 2014 with just three games to go when they faced Chelsea, who were in second, and a win would have all but secured the title.
Jose Mourinho's Blues played extremely defensively but won 2-0 thanks to Gerrard's infamous slip and Iago Aspas' dreadful corner late in the game, which led to a counter attack from the west London club.

Just days later the Reds had a chance to redeem themselves away to Crystal Palace and led 3-0, only for the hosts to pull off 'Crystanbul' and draw 3-3 to leave Rodgers' side's title hopes in tatters.
As well as Gerrard finally getting his hands on a medal it would also mean the awkward situation of Sterling, who was part of the exceptional strikeforce with Suarez and Sturridge, walking into City training with an extra title win.
Kolo Toure would also become the first player in Premier League history to win the title with three different clubs, having previously won it with Arsenal and City.
It still feels like a bit of a dream to imagine that City are going to have a league title off of them, never mind that it could even be two with the 2011/12 season potentially also questionable, and that Liverpool could have such a good season they end up with two league titles.

Imagine a world where football fans could no longer mock Gerrard's slip? Weird huh.
