Less Than Four Per Cent Of Players Have Played A Women's Game On FIFA 22

As FIFA 22 comes to an end, it's emerged that an average of 3.8 per cent have played a women's game.

Less than four per cent of players have played a women's game on FIFA 22 since it came out, damning statistics say.

The EA Sports football game is coming to an end as the American gaming giant transitions into FIFA 23, which is slated to be released in September and will be the final edition under its current iteration.

The partnership will officially come to an end, with the game being titled 'EA Sports FC' going forward.

But as far as FIFA 22 is concerned, the amount of gamers who played a women’s football match is shockingly low

The Gamer conducted research and looked at how many had completed the “play a women’s International football match" achievement on household consoles like Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam.

Nintendo Switch was not included as that console does not feature achievements. On average, 3.8 per cent of players have played at least one women's International game on FIFA 22 - made up of 3.3 per cent on Xbox, 4.2 on PlayStation and 3.9 per cent on Steam.

The accomplishment applies to women’s games players played in Kick Off, where gamers can control teams like the United States, England, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada and France.

FIFA 22 marked the introduction of female players on Pro Clubs while history was made as former England and Arsenal sar Alex Scott became the first female voice on the game.

But there are still no club sides, either in European football, in the US or from the Barclays FA Women's Super League, so you cannot manage them in Career Mode.

EA are always adding in new leagues but as of yet, there is no word on that changing in FIFA 23.

Meanwhile, Sports Interactive, who are behind the Football Manager franchise, have said they are in the process of introducing female players and clubs.

There is no date given but they will allow flexibility between the men's and women's game when it comes to managers.
