A Crystal Palace Player Appeared To Fall Asleep During 5-4 Swansea Defeat

And no, he wasn't in their defence at the time

There are plenty of matches every season in the Premier League that we're sure plenty of people would much rather sleep through than watch, but Swansea's epic 5-4 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend certainly wasn't one of them - unless you're Damien Delaney.

In a breathless topsy-turvy encounter in Wales, Palace led 1-0 before going 3-1 behind and then fought back to lead 4-3 in stoppage time before somehow contriving to concede two goals and lose 5-4.

The defeat has piled the pressure onto Palace boss Alan Pardew, but it seems not all of his players were too bother about the club's sixth consecutive Premier League defeat.

Eagle-eyed viewers watching the highlights of the game on the BBC's Match of the Day seemed to spot that centre-back Delaney, who was on the bench for the entire game, had drifted off in the dying stages:

To be fair, Delaney has been out of the team recently, so maybe we'll give him the benefit of the doubt and suggest he's just been working so hard on the training ground to get back into Pardew's plans.
