Dusan Tadic embarrassed himself with a stupid penalty run up and massive miss as his missed spot kick cost Serbia a win and all three points in their Nations League tie with Romania.
Penalties are pretty much a lose lose situation of whichever poor soul gets to take the spot kick. Score and you've just done what you were expected to do, miss and you're almost certainly the villain, especially if you cost your side a win.
When it comes to taking a set piece from 12 yards out with only the goalkeeper and his reactions in your way the odds are firmly stacked in the taker's favour.

In an ideal world one simply takes a few steps back runs up and either smashes the ball or places it nicely as close to the inside of some woodwork as humanly possible, simple.
What often happens though is penalty takers end up making it harder for themselves by running at funny angles, stopping or some other nonsense. And that's exactly what Dusan Tadic did on Sunday.
Rather than take a normal run up the Ajax midfielder went for a weird waddle before smacking the ball as high over the bar as he could, costing Serbia a win in the Nations League:
Gabriel Tamas was sent off for a head high foot in the box on the stroke of half time gifting Serbia the chance to go into the break 1-0 up.

Instead Tadic did that and the sides went in level. Unfortunately for the former Southampton player despite his side having 15 shots in the game they couldn't score and the game ended 0-0.
The only positive for 'The Eagles' is that the point keeps them on top of the Nations League League C Group 4, ahead of Montenegro by a point with just two games remaining.
Tadic's decision to approach the ball like a toddler trying to make a move for the cookies on the table made him look like said toddler on the way to falling to the ground.

What was he thinking?
