Happy #StKamaraDay - Seven Years Since Kammy's Most Famous Cock Up

As Chris Kamara goes, this was his finest hour. The moment that would define a Soccer Saturday watching nation.

Portsmouth, miles adrift at the bottom of the Premier League, 13 points from safety, were hosting mid-table Blackburn.

Lose, and they were down.

Jamie O'Hara came closest before the break, with his header cleared off the line. Blackburn struck the post twice.

And, as they say, when you're down at the bottom, luck really doesn't favour you. Portsmouth were reduced to ten men... or were they? Chris Kamara...

The moment reduced everyone to tears of laughter.

Kammy, famed for a cock-up every now and then, famed for a tongue-tied mispronunciation, famed for his catchphrase 'unbelievable Jeff', really had triumphed on this occasion.

Anthony Vanden Borre had been sent off for a second yellow card, only eagle eyed Kammy, had missed such an important moment in the match.

Jeff Stelling,who recently spoke to LADbible about how he's much more than your Saturday hero, tried to coach Kammy along - explaining what he understood had happened.

It turned out that Chris Kamara had seen what was going on, in terms of Vanden Borre walking down the tunnel, only he'd mistaken it as him going off for a substitute.

Kamara himself was a top-flight footballer playing for the likes of Bradford City, Luton Town and he even had a season at Portsmouth.

Prior to winning the imaginary award of best pundit on the television, Kamara's greatest accolade was probably winning Swindon Town Player Of The Season for the 1979-80 season.

In all honesty, he won the old fourth division in 1986 with Swindon and a year later - with the same club - he was promoted via the play-offs of the third division. He also won the second division with Leeds in 1990.

Sky Sports have christened the day #StKamaraDay - and we just had to oblige.

A world without Kammy, would be a very dull place indeed.
