A Chelsea player has shin pads that have Sean Dyche's face on it -- and no, we're not even making this up.

George Nunn has taken to Instagram to post about his Chelsea-themed pads, which features the Burnley manager showing off a cheeky smile and an inspiring quote: "What I expect is maximum effort."

According to the 17-year-old, the reason he has the 47-year-old Englishman on his pads is due to an ongoing joke that his dad looks like Dyche.

"My dad was never really big on football but he does look like Sean Dyche, which has become a bit of a long-standing joke between us," he explained (via the Sun).

"He even started sending pictures of him to me before every game as a sort of good luck message, which I know sounds a bit weird.

"My phone would go off in the changing room at Crewe and it would be a picture of Sean Dyche.

"Now, instead of him messaging me all the time, I have Dyche's face on my shin pads!"

The Chelsea youth product, who joined from Crewe Alexandra, signed his first professional contract with the club this week.

"It's a great moment to spend with my family and I was happy they were all there when I signed," he said (via the Sun).

"I came from League Two, but I've settled in now and ready to kick on."
