Gabriel and William Saliba spotted in heated exchange following 1-0 victory over Leicester City

Arsenal's centre backs were spotted exchanging some heated words.

Arsenal's centre-back pairing of Gabriel and William Saliba were spotted having a heated altercation following their 1-0 victory at Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners picked up an important three points in their quest to claim a first Premier League title since 2004, however, it wasn't all smiles after the full-time whistle.

Despite registering a first clean sheet since January 15th, there were some unsavoury scenes between Arsenal's centre-back duo, with Gabriel seen walking over to confront his teammate as the rest of Mikel Arteta's men celebrated their victory.

The two appear to exchange some heated words before Saliba proceeds to shove the Brazilian away as tempers cooled down.

It is unknown what the cause of the discussion was, however, it seems unlikely that it is anything that will cause too many headaches for Arteta, who saw his side retain their narrow advantage at the top of the Premier League.

Arteta is likely to have more significant concerns about the performance of the VAR team at the King Power Stadium, as his side once again fell victim to a controversial decision from Stockley Park.

January signing Leandro Trossard looked to have given his side the lead in the 26th minute with a stunning strike, only to see his goal ruled out for an alleged foul on Leicester keeper Danny Ward by Ben White.

The decision would prove to have little effect on the end result, as Arsenal secured a deserved three points courtesy of Gabriel Martinelli's early second-half strike.

Arsenal will have the opportunity to extend their lead at the Premier League's summit on Wednesday night when they welcome relegation-threatened Everton to the Emirates Stadium.

The two met earlier this month, with Sean Dyche's side producing one of the shock results of the season as they fought their way to a 1-0 victory over the league leaders at Goodison Park.
