Thiago Silva takes brutal dig at EA over his rating on EA Sports FC 24 rating

Thiago Silva has delivered a savage attack on EA Sports after finding out his retirement.

Thiago Silva has laid into EA Sports after finding out his rating on the new EA FC 24 game.

A good chunk of ratings had been leaked ahead of time but EA have started to officially roll out the stats ahead of the official launch on September 29.

As is the case every year, fans have been furious with some of the ratings handed out but so too have the players.

And Chelsea's veteran centre-back Thiago Silva has vented his frustrations over his score. The 38-year-old is joint-second when it comes to the Blues' ratings, sharing an 84 overall with new captain Reece James.

He is just two places behind top rated player Christopher Nkunku, who has been been given an 86-rated card following his arrival from RB Leipzig.

Silva did have that same mark last year and has been decreased by two - something he clearly disagrees with.

The Brazilian had predicted that his rating would remain the same or even improve given some of his key stats had gone up.

“They’re not watching football, they’re watching the games like this (with their eyes closed)” he told the Premier League's official YouTube channel.

Asked about his attributes, he said: "I think that obviously offensively I can improve because I didn't get a single goal last year.

"This year I think I can improve my attacking because defensively I'm good."

Silva's best ever card in the history of EA Sports football games came back in FIFA 17 when he was given a massive 89 rating during his time at Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea's ratings were already doing the rounds earlier this month, with many convinced that it sums up their current predicament as a club following a dismal 12th place finish last term.

There have been a fair few downgrades across the board, while Nkunku, Silva, James, Enzo Fernandez, Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell and Moises Caicedo are the only stars rated 80 and above.

It would be a major surprise to see them given a five-star rating.
