Gareth Bale scores incredible solo goal for LAFC against Real Salt Lake

'It's too easy for him.'

Gareth Bale scored an incredible solo goal to help his new MLS side Los Angeles FC thrash Real Salt Lake on Sunday.

Bale has made an impressive start at LAFC since joining the club on a one-year contract following his departure from Real Madrid at the end of last season.

After making his debut against Nashville last month, Bale opened his account for LAFC with a superb strike against Sporting Kansas City.

He scored his second goal for his new side at the weekend as they beat Real Salt Lake 4-1.

Cristian Arango's brace and a goal from Kellyn Acosta had put LAFC in firm control of the match before Bale rounded off the scoring with a magnificent solo effort.

After picking up the ball on the right side of midfield, Bale surged past two defenders before cutting inside and firing an unstoppable finish past Salt Lake goalkeeper Zac MacMath.

Fans were blown away by the impressive speed and strength of the 33-year-old Wales captain.

"Officially the star player in his club and league again - loving life too it seems! Incredible finish," wrote one fan on Twitter.

Another added: "Been doing it all his career, unplayable in games like this. Sit back and enjoy seeing a player with 'World Class Talent'."

A third wrote: "For Gareth Bale today's match was like playing against children."

Speaking earlier this week, Bale said he was now enjoying his football again after a difficult end to his Real Madrid career.

"Any player will tell you if they have a smile on their face, they enjoy football more, you play better, a bit more enthusiastically, and life seems a bit better," he said.

"I want to get back to enjoy my football, and I feel like I am on the road to do that and I'm looking forward to what lies ahead."

Victory for LAFC sees them move six points clear at the top of the Western Conference, having played a game less than their nearest rivals Austin.

They return to action on Sunday against Charlotte before facing Wayne Rooney’s DC United on August 17.
