Gavi has now penned a new contract until 2026 and one that includes a release clause of €1 billion.
An official event for the extension will take place at the Nou Camp on Thursday for Spain's youngest ever player and goalscorer.
It has been speculated that, in January, Gavi could receive the No.6 shirt famously worn by manager Xavi Hernandez - in what would be another move to show how valuable he is to Barca.
