On this day in 2007, Lionel Messi scored the greatest goal in Barcelona history, according to fans of the club, and it truly was special.
You could be a list together of Messi's best goals and it would probably beat the best goal in most club's history, and you'd be forgiven for forgetting some of them as well.

If you're wondering exactly which is the best, then Barca fans certainly made it easier for everyone back in March 2019.
There was a vote for the club's best ever goal and, perhaps unsurprisingly, the six time Ballon d'Or winner scored the top three goals.
Whilst his goal in the 2015 Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao might be the more famous strike, his goal against Getafe this time in the semi-final of the Spanish Cup, when he was just 19-years-old, was even better.

Messi dribbled past the whole Getafe side and slotted the ball in the back of the net.
The move started when Xavi passed to Messi on the right, around the halfway line.
Messi was quickly closed down by two players, but his lightning fast feet saw him easily go past Paredes and Nacho.
Covering 60 metres and only touching the ball 13 times, Messi proceeded to cut inside Alexis and then straightened back up onto goal past Belenguer.
What's even more remarkable is that two years after the vote, and 14 years after his great goal against Getafe, the 33-year-old is still scoring goals just as amazing.

On Saturday night, Barca won their first silverware in two seasons as they beat Athletic in the Copa del Rey final.
Six years on from the last time Messi scored a wonder goal against the same side, he was at it again.
The club captain scored the third of the game as he started the move in his own half, jinxed past a couple of defenders, played back-to-back one-twos with Frenkie de Jong and slotted the ball home.
Will he ever score a better one than against Getafe though?
