Manchester United are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer as he enters the final year of his deal.
United manager Erik ten Hag is keen to sign a new first-choice number nine following the abrupt departure of Cristiano Ronaldo late last year.
The Portugal legend slammed Ten Hag during an explosive interview with Piers Morgan. United terminated his contract via mutual consent days later, bringing his second spell as a United player to an end.

The club acted in January by signing Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley, although he's not a long-term solution.
Anthony Martial, meanwhile, has scored three goals all season due to injury issues.
The Daily Mail claim United's hierarchy are already exploring how to make a lucrative transfer for Kane happen. It's claimed the 29-year-old would be open to a move to Old Trafford.

Kane's contract with Spurs expires in 2024, although his decision to seek pastures new will depend on if they qualify for the Champions League.
Antonio Conte's side are currently fifth in the table, five points behind Newcastle United in fourth. Spurs have only won one Premier League game since returning from the World Cup break as pressure continues to build on Conte.
Chairman Daniel Levy will reportedly want £85 million for Kane from an overseas buyer, with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid interested previously.
He'll likely want more from a Premier League rival. Kane saw a transfer to Manchester City break down in 2021 after the reigning champions baulked at the inflated price tag.

The England captain would prefer to stay in his home country as he hunts down Alan Shearer's Premier League goal record. He's scored 198 top-flight goals, 62 short of the tally Shearer achieved.
Conte snapped at a reporter who asked about Kane's contract situation during a press conference earlier this week.
Before Spurs' 4-2 defeat to Manchester City on Thursday, Conte said per Football-London: "When we organise the press conference with the club [hierarchy], you can ask that. You can put this question to the club, OK. Keep this question for the future and I hope for you it happens one day that you can make this question to the club.
"Why do I have to answer this question? It's not disrespectful from you but I repeat: we are always telling you the same thing. Why do I have to answer a difficult question? You try with this question to put me in difficulty with the club and with the environment.

"Why? Why? Why do I have to answer? I'm really polite, believe me. I'm a kind person but at the same time I hope you understand me.
"I don't want to create a problem. I always said I liked the way we're working here and what we're doing, and stop, because in the past I think I said a lot."
