England captain Harry Kane has named the two toughest defenders he has ever faced

The Tottenham Hotspur striker answered questions from fans on his social media accounts.

Harry Kane has named the toughest defenders he has ever faced during a fans Q&A on his social media accounts.

It was 10 years since Kane made his Premier League debut and to celebrate this milestone, he decided to host a Q&A to allow fans to ask him questions about his career.

He wrote on his Instagram page: “Today is 10 years since my Premier League debut…time flies! Got a bit of spare time later so going to answer some of your questions. Reply to this and I’ll respond to some a bit later on…”

Kane then went on to answer a question about the toughest defenders he has faced in his career so far. The first named by Kane was former England and Chelsea star, John Terry. There was also a mention for Italian great Giorgio Chiellini, who now plays for LAFC in the MLS

Kane said in a video: “There are a few who have been the toughest I have faced in my career.

“Early on facing John Terry, [he was] just a really smart defender, knew where to put his body, knew how to stop my runs, so that was a great learning curve.”

Terry enjoyed a stellar career with Chelsea, in total, he made 717 appearances for the Stamford Bridge club, scoring 67 goals. During his time with the Blues, he got his hands on five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, two Community Shields and one each of the Champions League and Europa League.

The England man then complimented Chiellini.

Kane continued: “And then Chiellini, I obviously played against him against Italy and against Juventus.

“Again, really smart, strong, and physical.”

Kane then went on to answer other questions regarding different topics, including what it’s like to play alongside South Korean super star Son Heung Min, who Kane labelled as a ‘fantastic player and a fantastic person’.

When asked who was the best player he has ever play with, Kane named England’s all time top goal scorer Wayne Rooney as his choice.

He also looked forward to the upcoming World Cup in Qatar before ending the Q&A by thanking fans for sending in their questions.

Kane got off the mark last Sunday when he managed to salvage a point in the 96th minute for his side in the heated London derby against Chelsea.

Spurs will face Wolves this weekend as they look to preserve their unbeaten start to the season.
