Incredible scenes as young boy runs onto the pitch to console goalkeeper after defeat

The shot-stopper was down on his knees when one young fan ran onto the field to console the distraught goalkeeper.

The most wholesome pitch invasion moment happened yesterday during a Argentinian league match.

Usually when a crazed fan runs onto the pitch we are either left laughing or cringing, rarely does a pitch invader bring tears to your eyes and make you feel all fuzzy and warm inside.

The Argentine Primera División fixture between Defensa y Justicia and Boca Juniors saw a dramatic and heartbreaking finish to the game.

Boca Juniors striker Luis Vasquez slotted home past goalkeeper Ezequiel Unsain while in stoppage time to secure a tight 1-0 victory.

Defensa y Justicia had kept the Argentinian giants scoreless for more than 90 minutes, but a last-ditch winner left the players feeling distraught.

Unsain was on the verge of tears back in his box before a truly tear-jerking moment played out in front of everyone's eyes.

The shot-stopper was down on his knees when one young fan ran onto the field to console the distraught goalkeeper.

Getting down on his knees beside him the boy gave Unsain exactly what he needed in that moment - a hug.

It was an incredibly special moment that no security personnel wanted to get in the middle of as the kid walked off with Unsain hand-in-hand.

The 12-year-old boy was later identified as Tiziano with his father Daniel Carrizo appearing on Radio La Red to talk about the ordeal.

Carrizo recounted his son’s fanaticism for the goalkeeper and revealed that Tiziano had planned to make his way onto the pitch well before the final whistle.

He told the station: “My son loves Unsain. The times we have gone to the field, they brought him posters and rags, but nothing ever happened.

“Yesterday he told me: 'Daddy, look. I'm going to fulfill my dream and I'm going to enter the field’. Like every boy, he climbs, but I didn't believe him.”

The father revealed how his son had told a little white lie about going to the bathroom in order to get out of his gaze.

When he realised where his son was really going it was already too late.

When they were finally reunited, his son disclosed the message he had told his idol while trying to comfort him telling him that the late goal ‘doesn’t matter’ because the Defensa y Justicia number 22 ‘always saves everyone’.

The boy later revealed to Latin news channel The Nation More: “I told him not to cry because we are going to win the next game.”

Sometimes a hug is all that’s needed.
