Insane 'Lionel Messi Is Magical At Wembley' Compilation Proves He's In A League Of His Own

It's worth remembering, he's never played for an English team

A compilation titled 'Lionel Messi is magical at Wembley' is going viral - it shouldn't be possible for someone who has never played for an English team.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner helped Argentina to a 3-0 victory over Italy on Wednesday in Finalissima, registering an assist en route to being named Man of the Match.

It's not the first time Messi has dazzled at Wembley and it could actually be one of his favourite grounds to play at.

@TotalLM10i released a video that's nearly 10 minutes long and goes over all three games he's featured in there.

Messi's first visit was with Barcelona for the 2011 Champions League final against Manchester United and, can I just shock you with this, he ran the show.

The diminutive forward tore United apart and had the formidable defensive duo of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic quaking in their boots.

Ferdinand recently broke down Messi's performance that night and called him an 'alien' who was on a mission. Barcelona would run out 3-1 winners and it was thoroughly deserved.

He'd be back seven years later to face Tottenham Hotspur in the group stages.

Spurs were playing at Wembley that year as their new stadium was being built. You get the feeling that pleased Messi, who scored twice in a 4-2 triumph.

That brings us to Messi's masterclass in midweek, which saw him receive a round of applause from both teams as he collected his Man of the Match award.

Fans have reacted to the video online and they think Messi could be the MVP of Wembley.

One commented: "A man who has never played in England has a Wembley compilation. Some lads will tell you the little alien isn’t the best of all time."

Another said: "He's got a comp from three games in 18 years. Stop kidding yourself if you don't think he's the GOAT."

A third put: "Messi isn't English but owns every stadium in the country."

While somebody else tweeted: "You best believed I watched every second of this. Pure art."

With Messi's career winding down, there is a chance he never steps foot on the Wembley turf again.

If it's the last we see of him in England, then he picked a sensational way to go out.
