Manchester City's Jack Grealish follows up player of the match performance against Liverpool with hilarious interview

After a goal and an assist in Manchester City's 4-1 win against Liverpool, Jack Grealish provided a hilarious post-match interview

Manchester City forward Jack Grealish has followed up his player of the match performance against Liverpool with an even better interview following his side's 4-1 victory over the Reds at the Etihad.

Everyone associated with City would have been forgiven for fearing the worse when Mohamed Salah gave the visitors the lead after putting away Diogo Jota's set up in the 17th minute.

However, filling in for the injured Erling Haaland, striker Julian Alvarez was able to find an equaliser just ten minutes later before Kevin De Bryune, Ilkay Gundogan and Grealish scored second half goals to secure a comfortable victory for Pep Guardiola's side.

With a goal and the assist for Alvarez's equaliser, it was an excellent display from the former Aston Villa man who finally looks settled at the Etihad in his second season in Manchester.

The 27-year-old also seemed comfortable when interviewed by BT Sport's Des Kelly, saying: "Yeah, it was brilliant [the performance]. We knew it was going to be a tough game playing against Liverpool and the first game after the international break is always difficult. We wanted to start it right, this last part of the season."

However, the England international hilariously revealed: "I was in the toilet, I felt sick all morning but buzzing in the end. I feel alright now."

To round-off the interview, Grealish added another hilarious comment, admitting: "I've got to love you and leave you, I need to go into the changing room and find out how many days off we've got!"

The victory saw City close the gap on leaders Arsenal to five points with ten league matches to go ahead of the Gunners' home match against Leeds United this afternoon as the Premier League title races begins its climax following the international break.
