Jack Grealish was savaged by the Sky Sports reporter on live TV last night, Riyad Mahrez was in tears

Jack Grealish had a brilliant response after being told his highlight against Spurs was a tackle on Heung-Min Son.

Manchester City were trailing 2-0 at half-time after goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal but turned the game on its head with a stunning second half comeback.

Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland both struck, before Riyad Mahrez hit a brace as City cut the gap between them and leaders Arsenal to five points.

Man of the Match Mahrez was whisked in for a post-match chat longside Grealish, who is always good value in interviews.

As his last question, Sky Sports' Patrick Davison wanted to ask Grealish about what he felt was his highlight of the game: his tackle on Heung-Min Son.

The South Korean broke away on the counter attack in what looked like an extremely dangerous situation.

But Grealish refused to give up and after chasing Son, he made a crucial, perfect sliding tackle and put the ball out for a throw-in.

He got a standing ovation for his efforts but afterwards, when Davison praised the challenge, Grealish was almost insulted and reacted hilariously.

After Mahrez said he was scared Grealish was going to foul him, the former Aston Villa skipper said: "I know the one you're talking about but it's never a good sign when that's the highlight of a winger's match!

"Obviously we've got to do it haven't we. I remember they had a break and Son's so good at breaking away but I put a tackle and to be fair anything could have happened.

"Luckily I won the ball!"

Grealish then presented Mahrez with his award after his two-goal haul. Manager Pep Guardiola gave a scathing but box office post-match interview on Sky, calling out his players and fans and demanding more.

"[Lacking in] Guts, passion, fire, desire to win from minute one," he said on Sky Sports.

"The same with the fans, they are silent for 45 minutes. I want my fans back!

“We are far, far away from being able to compete at the highest level.”

City return to action on Saturday against Wolves at the Etihad.
