Hilarious 'Help Jack Wilshere Find A Club' Video Starring The Man Himself Has Gone Viral

Hilarious 'Help Jack Wilshere Find A Club' Video Starring The Man Himself Has Gone Viral

"I'm not retired."

Paddy Power have produced an incredible #JacksBack video starring Jack Wilshere, with the focus on his 'retirement' from professional football.

Wilshere has been without a club since leaving Championship side Bournemouth last summer and he's keen to get back in the game.

Paddy Power posted a video featuring Wilshere meeting with two members of the betting firm's marketing team.

They glowingly produce a retirement plan for the former Arsenal midfielder who sharply replies: "I'm not retired."

Awkward. It pivots to helping Wilshere get back in the game with a unique digital strategy plan.

The former England international looks puzzled after being told the game has 'moved on' despite him only being a free agent for half a year.

He explains that he's managed to keep fit, but is then told Ben Foster's a massive YouTuber and Bruno Fernandes has perfected apologising for a penalty miss. Is very strange when you put it in writing isn't it?

Wilshere takes part in a keepy-uppy challenge and films himself eating a sandwich to prove he's 'hungry' to get back in the game.

He tries to give 'Cycling Goalie' Foster a run for his money with a GoPro vlog, but it goes horribly wrong.

"I'm not doing this s**t," Wilshere says while removing the helmet in a huff.

Wilshere puts together his own message, saying: "What about this? Jack Wilshere. Fit. Ready. Available for offers... not Tottenham."

Fans online have reacted to the clip, which has over 23,000 likes, and they're loving Wilshere's comedic timing.

One commented: "Fair play to Jack Wilshere for having a sense of humour about it all."

Another said: "This is actually very good hope he can get back to playing."

While a third put: "Love that bit right at the end."

Wilshere opened up about his free agency in a candid interview with The Athletic last year.

He thinks the decision to leave Arsenal for West Ham United in 2018 was a poor one after being told he wasn't in Unai Emery's first-team plans.

"Honestly, I should have never left, that's nothing against West Ham - it could have been anyone - but I shouldn't have left Arsenal," Wilshere said.

"I sat down with Emery and he said 'Look, there's a contract on the table but you're not in my starting XI.'

"I thought I was going to play - I proved myself the year before. I probably made a few rash decisions. I rang my agent and said 'That's it, we need to leave.'

"I should have taken a few days, calmed down and thought to myself again, 'I look around this midfield and back myself to get in.'"
