Footage of Jadon Sancho and Phil Foden in Man City youth team sums up their mentalities, explains the difference between them

Fans have highlighted the reaction of Jadon Sancho for the Manchester City youth team as a reason he is failing at Manchester Unite

Manchester City fans have highlighted the behaviour of winger Jadon Sancho while playing for the youth team at the club as a reason for his struggles at Manchester United.

The 23-year-old winger completed a £74.6 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Old Trafford back in 2021 but has so far failed to live up to the astronomical price-tag, with just seven Premier League goals to his name across 44 appearances in red.

Sancho originally started his career with Watford at the age of just seven, before signing for Manchester City for a figure in the region of £66,000 at the age of 15.

During his time at the City academy, Sancho continued to impress and eventually began to push for an opportunity within the first team. However, he was omitted from the pre-season tour in 2017 due to a dispute regarding his playing time, eventually leading to the player pursuing a move to Germany with Dortmund.

Although Sancho ultimately did not break through at City, one teammate of his did. England international Phil Foden was one of Sancho's peers at the Etihad Stadium and the two actually combined for 23 goals and 10 assists during the 2016/17 season at U18s level.

During one fixture, Sancho was substituted for Foden for the City youth team but, as he came off, he refused to shake the hand of his teammate, leading to fans highlighting the poor attitude as a reason for his struggles at United currently.

Here is what fans have had to say...

@ErlingRole: This is why Foden has made it to the top and Sancho struggling on United’s bench.

@AnthonyAshton1: That and Foden is 5 times the player.

@MasokoWarrior: He's been soft from early.

@JAYD_1988: Sancho gives me Cancelo vibes with their egos and attitudes. Honestly they’re in a crazy privileged position and the amount of them who waste their opportunities with bad attitudes is insane. Dele Ali had the world at his feet.

@Roberto5l: Cringe.

@3500forthegoat: People like Martinelli, Mitoma, Foden and Saka will go straight to the very top on attitude alone talk less of their quality.
