Jadon Sancho's Highlights Vs Melbourne Victory Have Fans Convinced He's Going To 'Cook' Under Erik Ten Hag

Jadon Sancho's Highlights Vs Melbourne Victory Have Fans Convinced He's Going To 'Cook' Under Erik Ten Hag

Jadon Sancho has looked incredibly bright in Manchester United's first two pre-season outings under Erik ten Hag.

Jadon Sancho's performance against Melbourne Victory has convinced fans that he's ready to be a hugely important player for Erik ten Hag this season.

The England winger scored United's first goal of Ten Hag's reign earlier this week in the 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool in Bangkok, Thailand.

And he was seriously impressive again in United' second pre-season outing, this time over at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

United came from behind to win 4-1, with Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford all on target.

But Sancho, who started on the right flank, was involved in all of United's attractive build up play.

He linked up superbly with Diogo Dalot for the goal that put United ahead, playing through a glorious ball in behind the full-back.

Sancho demanded the ball all the time and was United's main creative outlet. Every time he was in possession you felt he would be the one to make something happen.

His dribbling ability was typically supreme and he had defenders on strings. Yet he wasn't merely showboating and played with a directness and purpose that helped create space bring United's other attackers into the game too.

Sancho showed glimpses in his first season at United following his £73 million switch from Borussia Dortmund but wasn't quite able to replicate his Bundesliga brilliance.

He mainly played on the left flank but having seen him excel on the right in pre-season, - and with Ten Hag's coaching - United fans are excited about what he might be able to do this term:

Going into the Victory clash, Ten Hag talked about Sancho and was pleased with the way he played.

"I was really happy to see that," the Dutchman said in his presser.

“I think we have a good left side but I think you see against Liverpool that we also have attacks on the right side and it was good to see it because you want to have balance.

“If you are only on one side it is quite predictable so we want that to develop over two sides but also in the middle and from everywhere."
