Jamie Carragher was left with egg on his face after being denied access to Steven Gerrard prior to Aston Villa vs Liverpool.
Carragher was on co-commentary alongside Rob Hawthorne for the clash at Villa Park and went live on Instagram, taking everyone behind the scenes pre-match.
But the Liverpool legend encountered a problem in the tunnel when the club employee had absolutely no idea who he was.

Carragher explained that he worked for Sky Sports and was "Steven Gerrard's mate".
"He said it was alright, is that not OK, or?" Carragher commented, but the worker was asking about his accreditation and said "he shouldn't be in here".
Carragher was told that he had purple on his accreditation and that granted him pitchside access - but not entry into the tunnel area.
He then wondered if he would be allow to stay in that vicinity if he phoned Gerrard, his long-time friend and teammate, and he gave it the go-ahead.
"If he says it's OK then that will be fine," was the response from the employee and Carragher, to his credit, saw the funny side and took it all in good spirits.

Still, you have to think Gary Neville will have very much enjoyed what he saw.
Carragher watched Liverpool come from behind to claim a narrow win over Gerrard's Villa.
The hosts went 1-0 early on through Douglas Luiz but Joel Matip equalised almost immediately before Sadio Mane headed home the winner in the second half.

Liverpool moved level on points with leaders Manchester City, who can restore a three-point gap at the top with victory away at Wolves on Wednesday.
