Anderson fell to the ground and moments later, referee Paul Tierney had no other option but to hand Nunez a straight red card.
The Uruguayan will miss Monday's clash against Manchester United through suspension.

Andersen has since taken to his personal Instagram page to share some of the disgusting abuse, which included death threats, from rival supporters.
He wrote: "Got maybe 3-400 of these messages last night. I understand you support a team but have some respect and stop acting tough online."
After posting screenshots of the direct messages, the former Lyon and Sampdoria defender said: "Hope Instagram and the Premier League do something about this."
On Tuesday morning, Andersen posted 17 screenshots in total from his Instagram direct messages. You can see them here.
He labelled Nunez's decision to headbutt him as "really stupid" after the final whistle.
“The whole game I sat really close to him, I annoyed him a lot and did well against him. I think that’s why he was a little bit angry with me,” Andersen told Viaplay.
“In that situation, he headbutted me, the first one, at a cross, and I told him he shouldn’t do that. I was angry with him. Then he did it again which is, for me, really stupid. A clear red card.”
"Darwin knows [he let his teammates down]. I will talk to him. It was not a reaction we want to see," the German told Sky Sports.
"He knew he would be challenged in this way, centre-halves will do that, but it is not a reaction we want. But we will use the time productively.
"We will use the suspension for physical work to make him strong - not a punishment but to make him stronger."

Nunez's teammate James Milner also reacted to the incident at full-time.
"He [Nunez] is going to be disappointed in that," the midfielder said. "We have to get around him and rally. He will learn from it. The team reacted well and the ground did and got behind us.
"We could have nicked it but it wasn't to be. Good teams react to disappointments and stick together. You see the readiness for the season and the fight.
"We have had a tough week and preparations have not been ideal. Nobody can deny we have fighting spirit."
