Joao Cancelo has been slammed by football fans for a blatant dive in Manchester City's costly defeat to Brentford.
City were beaten 2-1 at the Etihad on Saturday, a result which leaves them two points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal having played one game more.
Brentford took an unexpected lead when Ivan Toney headed the visitors in front after 16 minutes.

City equalised on the stroke of half time through a brilliant strike from Phil Foden.
Pep Guardiola's side pushed hard for another goal after the break but were repeatedly denied by Brentford.
As desperation began to creep into City's game, Cancelo drove into the area and appeared to be brought down by Brentford defender Zanka.
But instead of giving a penalty to City, referee Peter Bankes blew for a free-kick and subsequently showed Cancelo a yellow card for simulation.
Foden immediately began protesting the decision but stopped after seeing Cancelo holds his hands up.

Replays then showed that the Portugal international had indeed dived, with Zanka pulling his foot area before contact could be made.
City continued to push for a winner but were made to pay in the seventh minute of injury time when Toney tapped home from close range to secure a famous win for Brentford.
"That is disgraceful"
After the match, football fans were quick to criticise Cancelo for his blatant dive.

"Cancelo that is disgraceful," posted one fan on Twitter.
Another added: "Disgusting cheats."
"Embarrassing," added a third.
While another fan posted: "Penalty merchants."

Defeat for City means Arsenal could end the day five points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta's side face Wolves at Molineux on Saturday evening.
