Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix was on the scoresheet in the 3-0 win over Real Betis on Sunday but the real talking point was him basically becoming Antoine Griezmann's mascot for a brief second.
In a clip which has gone viral on social media, Felix is waiting in the Wanda Metropolitano tunnel ahead of the game.
He looked completely away with the fairies and in his own world when Griezmann, back at Atleti on loan from Barcelona, tapped him on the shoulder.
Griezmann extended his hand and the Portuguese superstar obliged, even walking with him for a few paces in a hilarious moment.

He then realises he's actually a player and not a mascot and holds back.
Felix, having imitated a mascot beforehand, entered the fray in the second half and got on the scoresheet in the 80th minute after being played through by Yannick Carrasco.

The goal was initially chalked off for offside before VAR correctly deemed he had timed his run to perfection before finishing with his left foot for his first of the season in La Liga.
Incidentally, Felix was Atletico's big-money replacement for Griezmann, inheriting the No.7 shirt when the Frenchman signed for Barcelona in an £108 million deal.
The two have formed a promising understanding as teammates, to the point where Felix was happy to be Griezmann's mascot for a brief moment.

it should be noted that adults have been mascots for football games before.
Ajax players have walked out with their Mums as mascots for Mother's Day, while there have also been instances where a stag has been roped into walking out with players in full kit along with several youngsters.
