Jude Bellingham tells England teammates that his mum still makes his bed

Bellingham has been in fine form this season

Jude Bellingham has been "bashed" by his England teammates after admitting his mum, Denise, still makes his bed.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who has been in fine form for club and country this season, has earned plaudits from fans and pundits after making a solid start to this winter's World Cup.

Bellingham was the pick of the bunch during England’s opening match against Iran, where former players such as Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville heaped praise on the teenager.

But despite being one of the star players within the squad, he was still on the receiving end of some dressing room banter.

Speaking on England's YouTube channel, Conor Coady recently revealed that Bellingham admitted his mum still makes his bed, which led to him being "bashed" by Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.

“Hendo (Jordan Henderson) looks after Jude like there is no tomorrow. The other day he (Bellingham) said something about his mum making his bed,” the Everton defender said.

“We are talking Jude Bellingham here, one of the best young players in the world.

“Hendo sat up at dinner and said: 'What?'. Jude said, 'My mum makes my bed. Hendo was bashing and bashing him.”

Henderson and Bellingham both started in England’s midfield as Gareth Southgate’s side sealed their place in the last 16 of the World Cup with a convincing 3-0 win over Wales, thanks to a brace from Marcus Rashford and a goal by Phil Foden.

After the match, Bellingham said: “We had our high energy today. With the game the other day we maybe realised we weren't aggressive enough, a little too passive, so it's important to be on the front foot.”

Bellingham has been the talk of the town as speculation around his Borussia Dortmund future continue to circulate.

A host of big clubs around the world including Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all believed to be interested in signing the teenager.

However, Bellingham will not come cheap as the Bundesliga side are expected to demand a fee well beyond £100 million.
