Khabib Nurmagomedov Slammed For Watching Man City At Anfield ONLY A Day After Appearing At Old Trafford

UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov took to Instagram and revealed that he was "rooting" for Man City in their clash with Liverpool at Anfield.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has been slated by fans after he attended Manchester City’s clash with Liverpool -- only a day after watching Manchester United play at Old Trafford.

The UFC legend, who is a huge Real Madrid fan, was at Old Trafford on Saturday as he watched Everton hold United to a 1-1 draw.

Khabib is a close pal of Cristiano Ronaldo and said it was an “honour” to visit Old Trafford after receiving an invitation from the “legendary football club.”

The 33-year-old Russian superstar was spotted posing for a photo with Man United legends Sir Alex Ferguson and Patrice Evra and retired Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.

However, Khabib has appeared to ruffle some feathers after he revealed that he was at City’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

The Eagle was in the stands with City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, with Khabib saying he was “rooting” for the defending Premier League champions.

Khabib wrote on Instagram: “It was amazing atmosphere today, but the game was even better.

“Today I was rooting for [Manchester City]. I just love this sport.”

Fans wasted no time in calling out the UFC lightweight champion for appearing at the City clash only a day after his invitation to Old Trafford.

“Bro went to [the] United game yesterday, today [he] roots for City,” one fan said.

Someone else posted: “Why would you take a pic with [a] Man Utd shirt and support Man City [the] very next day? Why man? LOL.”

A third wrote: “LOL. Bro, yesterday for Man United, today for City, three years ago for Real…”

While a fourth added: “Better than rooting for Liverpool. But you’re something else, chilling with Sir Alex one day, [then] going supporting [sic] City the next [day]. Wow.”

Sadio Mane fired Liverpool into the lead in the second half at Anfield, but Phil Foden pulled City back into the match with a superb finish.

Mohamed Salah restored Liverpool’s lead with an exquisite solo effort, but Kevin De Bruyne pulled back an important City equaliser minutes later.
