Neymar and Kylian Mbappe just combined for a majestic goal straight out of FIFA vs Juventus

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe just combined for a majestic goal straight out of FIFA vs Juventus

Who said these two aren't getting along?

Paris Saint-Germain have raced to a 2-0 lead against Juventus in the Champions League and their opener was a result of some lovely play between Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

The two sides are meeting at the Parc des Princes for the first time since 1997 and it took PSG five minutes to establish their dominance.

Mbappe received the ball out wide before playing it to Neymar and drifting away from Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Neymar took two touches before scooping a pass over the top for Mbappe, who fired home a vicious right-footed volley. It's just poetry in motion.

The 23-year-old wheeled away in celebration and pointed towards Neymar, before jumping into the arms of full-back Nuno Mendes.

Fans have reacted to the link-up and they think it's the deadliest in all of world football right now.

One person commented: "This Neymar/Mbappe combo isn't fair man."

A second added: "Neymar has ice in his veins."

Someone put: "Juventus can't cope with these two."

While a fourth tweeted: "Something hits different about these two when they're in action together."

Mbappe doubled his tally 22 minutes in after turning home an Achraf Hakimi cutback.

Moments before that, Juventus had their best chance of the game through Arkadiusz Milik.

Juan Cuadrado whipped in a lovely cross and Milik's header forced a smart stop from goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Strike partner Dusan Vlahovic then failed to convert the rebound.

Mbappe signed a lucrative contract to remain at PSG at the end of last season, despite many believing he'd be joining Real Madrid.

The World Cup winner was considered such a valuable asset to his home nation, France president Emmanuel Macron personally called Mbappe to get involved in the saga.

He told the New York Times: "I never imagined I was going to talk with the president about my future, about my future in my career, so it's something crazy, really something crazy," he said of the call he received from the politician.

"He told me 'I want you to stay, I don't want you to leave now as you are so important for the country'.

"He said 'You have time to leave, you can stay a little bit more'. Of course, when the president says that to you, that counts."

Neymar, meanwhile, has continued his scintillating start to the campaign and now has nine goals and seven assists in just seven games.
