Laura Woods summed up how Arsenal fans are feeling after being told Chelsea want to sign Moises Caicedo

Arsenal tried to sign Moises Caicedo during the January transfer window

Laura Woods summed up how every Arsenal are feeling right now after she reacted to Chelsea’s interest in Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.

During the January transfer window, Arsenal targetted the Seagulls player but failed with two bids as Brighton refused to do business.

After it was reported that Chelsea target Manuel Ugarte is likely to join Paris Saint Germain, the Blues have now apparently switched their attention to Caicedo as new boss Mauricio Pochettino starts planning his squad for the upcoming season.

Arsenal fan Woods could not hide her frustration when she found out Chelsea are looking to sign the 21-year-old.

She said on talkSPORT Breakfast: “I’ve got another Chelsea one, apparently they’re keen on Moises Caicedo. Oh for god’s sake…”

Fellow presenter Ally McCoist added: “We’re just stripping Brighton of every player they’ve got, it’s terrible.”

Woods then turned to talkSPORT’s chief football correspondent Alex Crook and asked: “How likely is that one to go through?”

After Crook responded with: “I think it’s quite likely…”, Woods then hilariously hid her face with a piece of paper, which is probably what Arsenal fans up and down the country would do when told of the latest development.

Crook added: “Obviously Arsenal were the team pushing for him in January. He signed a new contract in January and part of the reason Brighton wanted to keep him then was that they were anticipating there would be more clubs in for him in the summer.

“Brighton’s trump card might just be their interest in Levi Colwill. We know last week they had a £30m bid rejected by Chelsea for the young defender.

“Mauricio Pochettino wants to keep him, but if they can somehow facilitate a loan move or part-exchange move involving Caicedo then I think Brighton would be open for that.”

Which club do you think Caicedo will sign for if he leaves Brighton? Let us know in the comments.
