Brazil legend Ronaldo has offered Alexis Sanchez the chance to rebuild his career in La Liga, after a couple of years of poor form.

When Manchester United signed Sanchez in January 2018 they beat extreme interest from Pep Guardiola and Manchester City to bring him to Old Trafford, but things didn't work out at all.

After just five goals in 45 appearances in all competitions in 18 months he was loaned out to Inter in August but even in Italy he has failed to find the form that made him one of the world's best forwards.

Now at Inter things still aren't improving much but their could be hope in the shape of former Inter striker Ronaldo, who now owns Real Valladolid.

"Alexis Sanchez has succeeded wherever he's gone. He has a lot of quality," the World Cup winner said on a Zoom interview with Banco Santander.

"If he doesn't succeed at Inter, Valladolid will open their doors to him."

In his only full season at United, Sanchez played 20 times in the league but the Chilean only managed to score once for the Premier League side, playing for both Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, when the former was sacked.

Solskjaer's overhaul at Old Trafford saw the former Barcelona man leave but his huge wages meant that it was difficult to get rid of him on a permanent basis.

The 31-year-old has only started two games in Serie A, from nine league games in all, and scored just once in all competitions for Antonio Conte's team.

It seems highly unlikely that Inter will want to sign the former Barcelona forward at the end of the loan deal, and Ronaldo at 43-years-old might be a better signing, so the future is very questionable for Sanchez.

The former Arsenal man could be back at Old Trafford though, with Solskjaer saying back in January, "Alexis will come back in the summer and prove you all wrong."

Ronaldo initially bought into the La Liga side in September 2018, buying 50% of the club, but has since upped his involvement to owning 80% of the Madrid based team.

They are currently 15th in Spain's top tier but sit seven points above the relegation zone and are likely to stay in La Liga for next season.
