Lionel Messi has divided the football world overnight with a video of himself smashing three consecutive passes into the same bin from distance. Is it real or is it fake? You decide.

So, what do you reckon? The Paris Saint-Germain and Argentina forward can be seen trying out Adidas' new Diamond Edge ankle boots in the clip that has since picked up over five million views.
He knocks the 2022 'Al Rihla' ball that will be used at the Qatar World Cup into the bin not once, but three times, before giving the camera a cheeky thumbs up.
As you can imagine, the clip has caused plenty of debate on social media in recent hours. One fan said: "This guy is an alien," while another commented: "Messi doing Messi things."
A third, who was far more sceptical about the footage, said: "People in the replies actually think this video is real."
Another fan took to social media to comment: "Beckham did it better", which reminds us.
Back in 2011, former England captain David Beckham divided the world when he appeared in one of the most memorable adverts of all time. If you're a sceptic like me, then you'll have questioned this almost impossible feat straight away.
But the 44-year-old has always maintained that the footage is genuine. The debate still continues to this day on social media, 11 years after it was officially released.
I don’t get how people still think that video of David Beckham getting those three shots on the beach in the bins is actually real

Beckham, who was playing for MLS side LA Galaxy at the time, can be seen smashing three shots into three different trash cans as a very excited bloke commentates over the entire thing.
We bow down to your wand of a right foot, David, but we're not entirely convinced. Is it genuine or fake? Once again, you can make your mind up about this one.
The footage went down a hit with fans, and received over one million views in just a matter of days when it was released.
Do you think Messi managed to hit three passes in a row into the bin?
Let us know in the comments. We think it's real [because y'know, this is Lionel Messi we're talking about], but some are still unsure.
