Lionel Messi has reportedly made PSG an enormous amount of money since his arrival from Barcelona last summer.
Messi penned a two-year contract with the then Ligue 1 runners-up in 2021 after leaving the Catalan giants, for whom he was their all-time leading goalscorer.
The deal, worth roughly £60m in wages, immediately proved fruitful as PSG re-claimed the French domestic title in 2022, with Messi scoring 11 goals and registering 15 assists across all competitions.

And as well as success on the pitch, PSG’s off the field situation is looking equally healthy after El Economista reported the signing of the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has generated an additional £612m for the club.
In the 12 months since Messi began life at the Parc des Princes, PSG have increased their income stream by 13% following lucrative sponsorship deals with numerous big-name brands, including Dior PlayBetR, and GOAT, while the club’s cryptocurrencies have doubled to exceed €300m.
El Economista’s report also claims that the Parisian club have sold around one million shirts so far this season, with 60% of them having ‘Messi 30’ on the back.
And, according to Marc Armstrong, Director of Marketing for PSG, they could sell hundreds of thousands more, but the demand outweighs the supply.

Speaking to Spanish outlet Marca, Armstrong said: “Demand has grown between 30% and 40% and what can really stop it is supply.
“When a transfer of this magnitude happens, Ronaldo to United for example, you might think that they are going to pay him selling shirts, but that is not the case.
“You can't produce a lot of extra jerseys. The deal is set to guarantee very important minimums but we can't meet the demand for Messi's jerseys. We've reached the ceiling."

PSG are so far undefeated this season, occupying top spot in the league, two points above Marseille while also sitting at the summit of a Champions League group that includes Juventus and Benfica.
And Messi looks set for another strong campaign having assisted eight and scored six in just 11 games in all competitions, including the only goal in a dazzling display against Lyon last weekend.
