Scott McTominay has revealed the text Manchester United teammate Lisandro Martinez sent him immediately after winning the World Cup with Argentina.
Martinez was an unused substitute in Sunday's final, which saw Argentina claim their third World Cup after a 4-2 penalty shootout victory over France.
The centre-back played five times at the tournament, putting his combative nature to good use.

Martinez is already a popular figure at United following his arrival from Dutch giants Ajax in the summer.
Several pundits believed his height would be an issue in the Premier League, but he's made a mockery of those claims, forming a solid partnership with Raphael Varane at the back.
What the 24-year-old guarantees is a winning mentality and a boatload of grit. It's something McTominay figured out shortly after La Albiceleste's date with destiny.

The midfielder sent Martinez a congratulatory message. One that would typically get a thank you back and that's about it. This is Lisandro Martinez we're talking about, though.
Speaking to Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic, McTominay said: "I messaged Lisandro the other day and said congratulations.
"He said, 'We go for the next one'. He’s just won a World Cup, so that shows the mentality in the group."
United haven't won a trophy since 2017, their longest dry spell this century. They reached the Europa League final in 2021 but were beaten on penalties by Villarreal.

McTominay's quote has gone viral on social media and supporters are thrilled with the mentality of United's current squad.
One person said: "I didn't think it was possible to love this guy more."
Another tweeted: "There is no way we don't win a trophy this season after this."
A third put: "He's got that dog in him at all times."

United are currently fifth in the Premier League, three points behind Tottenham Hotspur in fourth. They return to action against Championship outfit Burnley in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.
Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will likely start in defence, given Martinez and Raphael Varane's involvement in the World Cup final.
