Gary Neville trolls Liverpool with ‘Final Score’ joke after shock Bournemouth win

Gary Neville trolls Liverpool with ‘Final Score’ joke after shock Bournemouth win

Liverpool were shocked by Bournemouth on Saturday

Gary Neville brilliantly trolled Liverpool after their shock defeat against Bournemouth in the Premier League.

After thrashing Manchester United 7-0 last weekend, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool arrived at the Vitality Stadium looking to continue their upward trend.

However, they produced a dismal performance as Phillip Billing’s goal in the first half secured a shock 1-0 win. Liverpool had the chance to level things up from the spot in the second half but to everyone's surprise, Mo Salah failed to hit the target.

After the final whistle, Neville took the chance to capitalise on BBC’s decision to pull the Final Score programme on the back of the Gary Lineker row and made a timely joke to troll Liverpool. You can watch the footage below.

Neville said in the video: “With no Final Score today, here is the early result. Bournemouth one Liverpool nil.”

Fans were quick to react to Neville’s antics.

One said: “ HAHAHA brilliantly done Gary!!!”

Another wrote: “I’m happy they were back for a total of 5 days.”

A third fan added: “Coke Zero for Carragher today.”

Someone else said: “Love this Gary, they thought they were back after a freak result.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Gary, are you forgetting the 7-0 from last week?”

After the bitterly disappointing set back, Klopp said: “What can I say? It was never really our game. We were dominant in the first half but mostly we put ball in at the wrong moment against a compact side.

“They had their counter-attacks they wanted to have. I really think the spaces we had to play were super clear, super open.”

Up next for the Reds will be the almost impossible task of overturning a 5-2 deficit against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Can Liverpool finish in the top four? Only time will tell.
