A mystery English club have outbid Paris Saint-Germain for Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur target Milan Skriniar.

A mystery English club have outbid Paris Saint-Germain for Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur target Milan Skriniar.

The Slovakia international, who will become a free agent in the summer, put the world’s biggest clubs on high alert by rejecting a new Inter Milan deal.

Skriniar has been a long-term target for PSG, who failed in an attempt to land the centre-back last summer, while he has also attracted interest from Premier League trio Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham.

Indeed, L’Equipe claimed last week that the centre-back had struck a verbal agreement with PSG regarding a free transfer.

However, subsequent reports from France claim the French giants are now being rivalled by an unnamed English club.

French outlet Foot Mercato claimed PSG face stern competition for Skriniar’s signature from a Premier League club.

The report claimed that the contract offered by the club is more lucrative than that of Le Parisiens, with Skriniar's camp thought to have now demanded PSG to up their offer.

Meanwhile, Inter are resigned to losing the defender and are allegedly holding out for a £17.5million transfer fee before the end of the January window.

Indeed, the latest news aligns with recent comments made by Skriniar's representative Roberto Sistici.

The agent revealed they had been in talks with PSG as well as “other clubs outside of Italy.”

Sistici added, in an interview with Telenord, that there was no chance of a new deal with Inter being agreed upon.

He reiterated: “At the moment no, that is not a possibility. Anyone who knows Milan will realise his professionalism and fairness, he will always honour the jersey of the club he is registered with, especially a club that gave him so much."
