Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo broke an unwritten Jurgen Klopp rule before his side's 7-0 thrashing of Manchester United, according to a new report.
The Dutchman had his best game in a Liverpool shirt since arriving at Anfield at January, netting a brace from centre forward.
He played in a deeper role in an attempt to disrupt United's man-marking system, with the 23-year-old finding space in forward areas to receive passes.

He opened the scoring on 43 minutes with a well-taken right-footed shot into the bottom corner, before chipping the ball over David de Gea for Liverpool's third goal in the second half.
It was a day to remember for Gakpo - and even reportedly breaking an unwritten rule prior to the match didn't stop him from winning the player of the match award.
Gakpo 'breaks unwritten Klopp rule'
Reports claim, as per Football365, that Gakpo was seen touching the 'This is Anfield' sign before entering the field of play on Sunday.

It has been claimed that when Klopp was appointed as Reds boss, a 'rule' was introduced that only players who had won something for the club would be allowed to touch the sign. Gakpo is yet to win a trophy with Liverpool.
However, the 'rule' clearly isn't strictly enforced, and it didn't affect the 23-year-old as he stormed to his best performance for the club.
In fact, headlines surrounding the well-known sign actually centred around United forward Wout Weghorst, who also touched it before the game began.
After criticism from United supporters, he posted a message on social media confirming that he only touched the sign in order to stop Liverpool centre-back and Dutch compatriot Virgil van Dijk from doing likewise.

He wrote on Instagram: "From the national team I know that Virgil always touches the sign and the only intention I had was to stop him touching it and wind him up before the game."
