A Liverpool fan thinks Jurgen Klopp is a better manager than Sir Alex Ferguson – and his comments sparked huge debate on social media.
Speaking on talkSPORT last year, the supporter was asked by a bemused Andy Goldstein to explain why he thinks Klopp is a better manager than former Man Utd boss Ferguson.
He said: “The Premier League [back in the ‘90s] wasn’t strong, was it?” before adding: "If you had Ferguson managing Man Utd now, they wouldn't be able to compete with Pep and Klopp."

One said: "This was such a ridiculous call. And the myth the Premier League is stronger now than back in the 90/00s is totally floored as well. There’s absolutely no depth in Premier league now."

A second wrote: "Fergie is better hands down. It’s the media that hype the competition these days and say it’s a big 6, when it’s really a big 2 and has been for years. It was the same 2 or 3 in the 90s and 00s, and Fergie did more, consistently over time than Klopp."
A third commented: "Klopp has won 1 Premier League. 1. He’s won as many as Claudio Ranieri. He is a great manager though and may well be in the bracket of Fergie in years to come. Needs to win more than he has to date though."
A fourth said: "At this moment, it’s Fergie. Klopp has the potential to be better, though you can’t ignore Manchester United's success under Fergie."
A fifth added: "Liverpool fan chooses Liverpool manager, what a shock. Both great managers but Fergie is better. Klopp will never match Fergie's achievement, mainly because he won't stay at LFC as long. Another five years and he'll be off for a new challenge, staying at one club for 20+ years is over."

It's difficult enough to win three trophies in a season, with Liverpool managing it in 2001 with the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup.
City, of course, lifted the treble last season; just like Ferguson did back in 1999, when the Reds captured the league, FA Cup and Champions League all in one season.

Klopp was close to doing so but it's certainly a stretch to suggest he's a better manager than the Scotsman.
Ferguson won 13 Premier League titles in his time at Old Trafford, transforming a team that hadn't won the league since 1967, finally winning the first Premier League in 1993.
He twice won the title three times in-a-row, something that's not even been done once by anyone else in the past 29 years in England's top tier.
As well as the Treble, there were also four double seasons, involving the league, coupled with either Champions League, FA Cup or League Cup.
The two managers enjoyed incredible careers before moving to England, with Klopp managing to end Bayern Munich's monopoly of the Bundesliga, to win the German title twice.

Fergie ended the Scottish duopoly between Celtic and Rangers and won three league titles with Aberdeen.
There was also four successes in the Scottish Cup and most impressively, beating Real Madrid to win the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1983.
