Brendan Rodgers will come up against one of his former clubs when Leicester City travel to face Liverpool at Anfield on Friday night.

The Foxes will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Newcastle in their first Premier League match after the winter break.

Liverpool, meanwhile, will look to extend their winning run to four games.

They beat Aston Villa 3-1 on Boxing Day to record a third successive league win for the first time this season.

Jurgen Klopp's side remain sixth in the Premier League but are now only five points off the top four, having played one game less than fourth-place Tottenham.

Leicester are currently 13^th but could end the week as low as 17^th if results go against them.
