Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp knew exactly what was going to happen when he witnessed a mistake from Andy Robertson which left him with his head in his hands.
On Saturday afternoon, the clash between Liverpool and Manchester City was billed to be a brilliant spectacle.
The first half was tightly contested as Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the lead before Julian Alvarez equalised for City.

However, in the second half, Liverpool were absolutely awful as City ran away 4-1 winners thanks to goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish.
Prior to Alvarez’s equaliser in the first half, Klopp was seen with his head in his hands after a mistake by Robertson which proved to be very costly.
The Scotland captain went to press De Bruyne but did not get to the ball in time, allowing the Belgian to play the ball through to Riyad Mahrez.

With Robertson out of position, City exploited the space and worked in the ball into the box for Alvarez to tap home.
At the time, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher stated that it was not the first time Robertson has made that kind of mistake.
He tweeted: “Andy Robertson goes chasing into midfield & leaves his man, it happens a lot. (CL final). You can’t always press!”
Whilst former City defender Joleon Lescott said on BT Sport: “Huge phase of play. You can see here, Klopp’s reaction, he recognises what’s about to happen with regards to Robertson missing the tackle.
“Then Van Dijk, he needs to isolate Mahrez but from then on, Gundogan’s pass, Jack’s weighted pass then Alvarez just finds himself in huge amounts of space which is strange from Liverpool. Again, the goal from a defensive perspective is pretty poor.”

After the match, the Liverpool boss said only four of his players produced okay performances.
He said: “Four performances were okay, the two midfielders, Hendo and Fab, worked a lot, Cody and Ali, and that is very difficult. If you want to get something here, 14 or 15 players have to be on top of their game and that was not the case.”
Next up for Liverpool will be another tough match as they travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Tuesday night.
