'Something About Him' - Pundit Claims One Liverpool Player Is Going To Be 'A Star' - It's Not Nunez

Former Liverpool player and now pundit Phil Thompson has heaped praise on new signing Fabio Carvalho after his performance against RB Leipzig.
The Reds thrashed the German outfit on Thursday at the Red Bull Arena, in what was their third pre-season friendly.
They ran out 5-0 winners as Darwin Nunez got off the mark for his new club, scoring four times in a second half blitz.
This came after a first half finish from Mohamed Salah.
After beating Crystal Palace in Singapore and losing 4-0 to Manchester United in Bangkok, the Merseyside club returned to Europe to face Leipzig, and now will face Red Bull counterparts Salzburg in Austria.
While Nunez will take the headlines from Thursday night following his flurry of goals, teenager and fellow new signing Carvalho impressed the Reds’ faithful.
The 19-year-old midfielder was introduced in place of Luis Diaz at the break, and operated from the left-hand side.
His constant desire to drive at defenders was rewarded when he set up Nunez for his fourth goal of the night.
Liverpool legend Phil Thompson was raving about the former Fulham man in his punditry for LCTV after the final whistle.
“Fabio Carvalho is going to be a star,” said Thompson.
“There’s something about him when he gets the ball. His awareness on the pitch is nothing short of sensational.”
The Sky Sports pundit went on to compare Carvalho to former Liverpool player Philippe Coutinho and many on Social Media have agreed with this comparison.
The way the player runs with the ball and gets his head up very much resembles Coutinho’s playing style.
The Portuguese starlet arrived at Anfield from Fulham in May for a fee of £5 million, potentially rising to £7.7 million with add-ons.
He helped the Cottagers to promotion back to the Premier League, scoring 10 goals in 36 Championship appearances last season.
Following this impressive display in Germany and the upcoming game in Austria, Jurgen Klopp’s side feature in the 2022/23 season curtain raiser against Manchester City in the Community Shield at the King Power Stadium.
