'I'll go 2-0" - Pundit makes Rangers vs Liverpool prediction

talkSPORT pundit Jamie O'Hara predicts the result of tonight's Champions League clash between Rangers and Liverpool.

talkSPORT pundit Jamie O'Hara has given his prediction ahead of tonight's Champions League clash between Rangers and Liverpool.

Last season's Europa League finalists host last season's Champions League finalists in a game that could have a big impact on the outcomes of Group E.

A Liverpool win could all but assure their place in the last 16 stage, should Ajax lose to Napoli in the 5:45pm kick-off. For Rangers, Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side must win to keep their qualification hopes alive, having lost all three of their opening group stage matches.

In the reverse fixture at Anfield, the Reds secured a 2-0 victory, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah getting on the scoresheet. Gers stopper Allan McGregor was responsible for that margin not being higher, with the 40-year-old making eight saves on the night.

Jurgen Klopp's side will hope for a repeat of the performance that saw them pick up a second consecutive Champions League victory. A win could see them draw level on points with Napoli at the top of Group A, though the Reds have a far inferior goal difference at this stage.

Jamie O'Hara predicts Rangers vs Liverpool

Plenty of pundits from across the sporting landscape have given their predictions for Rangers vs Liverpool tonight. Klopp's side will be looking to partially avenge last Sunday's 3-2 defeat at Arsenal in the Premier League. They will, however, have to do it without Luis Diaz, who suffered a knee injury during that game which will rule him out until after the World Cup.

Rangers, meanwhile, have won seven out of their nine Scottish Premiership games so far. However, their sole defeat came in a thumping 4-0 defeat at Old Firm rivals Celtic.

Former Tottenham midfielder and current talkSPORT pundit, Jamie O'Hara, believes it will be a tough ask for van Bronckhorst and his side to get anything out of the game.

He predicts: "Again, tough game that for Rangers. I think they're out of their depth. Liverpool haven't been great, they've just been beat by Arsenal, so they're going to want to kick on again. They're probably looking, and thinking their only real chance for trophies now is the Champions League, the cup competitions.

"I'll go 2-0 Liverpool."
