Man United crash out of race for £100m+ wonderkid Klopp loves - Liverpool fans will be delighted

Manchester United are reportedly out of the race to sign one of Europe's top stars.

Manchester United have dropped out of the race to sign Borussia Dortmund and England star Jude Bellingham this summer, according to reports.

Erik ten Hag's side were one of the favourites to sign the midfielder, who is reportedly available for a fee of £130 million.

Many top European clubs, however, have been linked with securing his signature, including Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool.

And his impressive World Cup performances will surely only increase the already huge asking price that Dortmund have set, with the 19-year-old helping England to a quarter-final clash against France on Saturday.

According to the Daily Mirror, Ten Hag made Bellingham his top target in the upcoming transfer windows, with the Old Trafford club looking to add another midfielder to their squad.

United signed Real star Casemiro in the summer, with the Dortmund man likely to add another dimension to their midfield if he was to join.

But they appear to have been handed a major blow in their pursuit - which will be greeted positively by Liverpool fans.

Man Utd 'out of the race' for Bellingham

Sky Sports Germany have reported that Manchester United have dropped out of the race to sign Bellingham.

They claim that Liverpool, City and Real remain the frontrunners for the player's signature, and that his asking price - for now - remains at a figure between £100-150m.

They add that Dortmund are 'very happy' with Bellingham's displays at the World Cup, and that the club are now more relaxed about selling the player, due to their growing confidence that they can receive a huge fee.

It is also claimed that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is 'pushing' to sign Bellingham - a player he has previously admitted his admiration for - but that United 'do not stand a chance' of signing the player currently.

With three clubs now seemingly locked in battle to sign the 19-year-old, the England star will have a difficult decision to make about his future once the World Cup concludes.
